AW16 Interior Trends

As the temperature drops, our wardrobes switch from summer to winter, so why not bring the transformation to your home. Whether you’re looking to revamp an entire room or simply add some winter inspired accessories, our Home Design Stylist, Linsey Lindley, gives us her top tips to update your home interiors ready for the winter months.

A cosy transformation

If you’re looking to transform a whole room in your home but need a little inspiration, why not go for this season’s biggest trend, copper. Use this as the base colour for key accessories, like this table lamp from Pagazzi, and go from there. Graham & Brown’s Gloriana wallpaper provides the perfect backdrop with its subtle nod to copper. Finally add some artwork, this feather print from Graham & Brown is simple and provides the illusion of texture and will bring the whole look together.

Scandinavian aesthetic

Take a leaf out of the Scandi’s style book and go for all things natural, think clay pots and tonal greys. Murmur, one of our newest stores here at Livingston Designer Outlet, is a go-to for all things simple yet stylish. Its Stonewear collection of crockery is not only practical but can be kept on display in the kitchen as an accessory. If you have an open plan living space, connect each section with accessories. The Dune collection from Murmur is based on geometrics print in a range of colours, these mugs match perfectly with the light grey cushion connecting your living space to your kitchen.

Keep cosy this winter

And last but not least, the haven of every home, your bedroom. As the temperature drops and our wardrobes fill with chunky knits and winter coats, we crave warmth and comfort at home too. Bedecks latest collection, Damara is the ultimate transition from summer to winter. With tones of winter berries and playful patterns, it keeps things bright and colourful with the added touch of comfort with chunky throws and lots of pillows.
