Al Fresco Nights

Al Fresco Nights

The weather is beautiful at the moment and we’re all heading outside to make the most of those long summer evenings. ProCook have a fantastic Summer dining range and they’ve shared a few of their top tips for the perfect al fresco dining experience.

Go the whole hog

Just because you’re outdoors doesn’t mean you have to go casual. To make a great impression use a full set of dining ware and glassware, including placemats and table decorations. Laying the table properly looks great, and encourages you to savour your meal slowly, enjoying every moment of that long Summer sun.

Colourful accents

Plain white tableware can look a little formal outdoors, so combine neutral crockery with colourful drinks and table decorations. The more texture and colour the better really – and when the sun goes down, a few well-placed tea lights will give your evening that special sparkle.

Get your gadgets

There are so many great BBQ gadgets to choose from its hard to know where to start. From griddles to BBQ baskets and extra-large tongs, it’s always worth having a few dedicated items to give your BBQ food that delicious smoky flavour and make cooking and clearing up easy.

It’s not all BBQ

The outdoor space is the ultimate in open plan living so why not take your meal prep outside while you are chatting with friends? Chopping veg and making marinades is just as easy outdoors as it is indoors, and better still…less kitchen mess!

The simple things

If nothing else, a bunch of flowers goes a long way to dress up your outdoor dining table. Pick a selection from your garden to compliment the colours you already have around you. Last but not least, if you want an easy win don’t scrimp on drinks – always crack out the bubbly for that special occasion feel.
