We’re supporting Purple Tuesday, taking place on Tuesday 2nd November.
Purple Tuesday 2021 is a change programme for organisations of all sizes from all sectors to get involved in. As part of this programme, Livingston Designer Outlet is committed to making the outlet inclusive for all our guests with the shared goal of improving the customer experience for disabled people 365 days a year.
Our brands are supporting this UK-wide initiative, we’re working with them to make changes in stores and educating teams to be mindful of the needs of and improving the customer experience for our disabled guests, including:
- Reviewing the placement of floor fixtures, displays, and stock to ensure there is plenty of room for wheelchair access
- Reduction in music noise
- Offering extra assistance including guiding guests around stores
- Ensuring that accessible fitting rooms are always available
- We’re reviewing all of our processes to understand how the outlet, alongside our brand partners, can improve accessibility across all shared spaces
In addition to our commitments, we also offer facilities for those with additional needs including a Changing Places facility. The facility includes a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and a tracking hoist system is accessible via a video entrance system.
