Did you come and visit our latest pop-up shop?
Earlier this month we supported our on-going partnership with Cancer Research UK with its first ever pop-up charity shop at the outlet.
The new store sold a mix of fashion and accessories donated by the charity’s extended network of supporters. The majority of the stock had never been worn with keen fashion hunters able to pick up bargains from their high street favourites.
Fashion influencer and self-confessed lover of sustainable fashion Hayley Daines (pictured in the floral dress below) joined the team from Cancer Research UK at the outlet to officially open the store and also did a little retail therapy herself. Visit Hayley’s Instagram page to see how she styled some of the pieces.
Commenting on the store opening Hayley said: “Cancer Research UK is an amazing charity and one I am delighted to support. I recognise the invaluable work the organisation does day after day.
“It was great fun to officially open the pop up and have a rummage at the same time!
“I’m a big fan of sustainable fashion and always on the lookout for good quality pieces and charity shops are often a great place to uncover some unwanted gems!”
Kylie Wilson, marketing manager at Livingston Designer Outlet added: “Everyone loves a bargain so a pop-up shop in aid of the charity felt like the perfect way to highlight the ongoing work we are doing with the charity.
“Charity shop shopping is back in vogue again with celebrities and fashion influencers talking a lot about the importance of sustainable fashion choices on their channels and it’s definitely inspiring a new generation of shoppers who want to shop but also donate and support causes close to their hearts.”
We will be working with Cancer Research UK through 2022 on a series of partnership fundraising events and are currently running a donation station at the outlet where shoppers can donate bags of unwanted clothes in return for a 10% off voucher redeemable in participating stores throughout February.
