Keep Safe Awareness Day

Keep Safe Awareness Day

Have you heard about Keep Safe Scotland? Communities are working together for a safer Scotland.

Keep Safe Awareness Day takes place on Wednesday, March 23rd – and we’re proud to raise awareness that Livingston Designer Outlet is recognised as a Keep Safe place.

Keep Safe is a national initiative in partnership with Police Scotland and I Am Me Scotland. The initiative works with communities to create a network of safe places across Scotland. These are places people can go to if they feel lost, scared or vulnerable when out in the community.

Keep Safe places can be any business, such as libraries, shops, or cafes, which are identified by displaying the I Am Me logo sticker and are also listed on the Keep Safe Scotland app. All Keep Safe places have a minimum of two staff members and have been checked and approved for suitability by Police Scotland.

Most people will never need to ask for help, but choose to use Keep Safe places to go about their daily life. Knowing there are safe places to eat, shop, and meet friends can help tackle isolation.
