Safety Notes for Hirer

Buggies

  • Only for a Child from birth to 3 years approx. (15kg)
  • Ensure Child is strapped in properly at all times
  • No more than one Child inside buggy at any time
  • Never to be left unattended with Child on aboard
  • Not to be taking on the Escalators or bumped up/stairs
  • Buggy handle should be used for the purpose of steering and pushing only
  • Only to be pushed by an Adult
  • The Buggy must not be folded down or interfered with in any way
  • The brake MUST be applied when loading and unloading Children
  • Hire at a cost of £2.00 PER hour
Strictly NO food or drink to be consumed by Child while they are in buggy as other Children may suffer from food allergies.

Kiddie Cars

  • Only for children between 18 Months and 5 years
  • Not to be taken on Escalators
  • Only to be pushed by an Adult
  • Never to be left unattended with Child/Children aboard
  • Ensure Children are strapped in
  • Ensure Children are secure (seated) at all times
  • No more than one Child inside at any time
  • Hire at a cost of £3.00 for 1 hour, or £5.00 for 2 hours
  • Hire for a maximum of 2 hours only
Strictly NO food or drink to be consumed by Child while they are in buggy as other Children may suffer from food allergies.

Wheelchair/Walking Frame

  • Not to be over loaded (maximum weight 118kg)
  • Handles not to be used as carry handles
  • Foot-rests to be used at all times
  • Not to be left unattended
  • Not to be taken on escalators or bumped up/down stairs
  • For use within Livingston Designer Outlet – if taken out with the Outlet, do so at your own risk
  • Any damage caused whilst hired must be reported when returning to the Information Desk
  • Misuse/damage may be charged for
