We strive to create an accessible shopping destination and are dedicated to improving the experience for every guest. Our Guest Services team is here to assist you and ensure you have an enjoyable visit.
Outlet Accessibility
At Livingston Designer Outlet, we provide 77 disabled parking spaces, 8 electric charging points, and 8 coach parking spaces in our dedicated coach parking area.
Every Wednesday from 9 am to 10 am, we offer a quiet shopping hour for guests who experience the world in unique ways, such as those with autism or dementia. During this hour, music is not played, lighting is softened, and where possible digital screens and signage are turned off to create a calmer shopping environment.
Sensory packs are available for free hire at Guest Services. These packs are designed to support individuals with a variety of disabilities, helping to enhance their shopping experience. The packs include items like ear defenders and sunglasses for noise and light sensitivity, fiddle toys for stress relief, and feeling fans to help express emotions.
We offer complimentary wheelchair hire for guests. Please visit our Guest Services when you arrive to arrange one.
Our Designer Outlet features a Changing Places toilet located in the Lower Mall West End (near Adidas), next to the accessible toilets. The facility is equipped with a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and a tracking hoist system, accessible via a video entrance system. Please note, this is not a baby-changing facility.
We have several accessible toilets to ensure a comfortable visit. They are located on the Lower Mall near Guest Services, at the West End near Claires and Adidas, and on the Upper Mall next to the VUE cinema. Additionally, in the male toilets on the Lower Mall, we provided a discreet and hygienic disposal unit for incontinence products.
Make your shopping experience easier with our free Hands-Free Shopping service, available seven days a week*. You can shop, leave your bags, and have them collected or delivered to your car. This service is perfect for anyone looking for a more convenient shopping experience, especially when making larger or heavier purchases.
Our team has undergone diversity and inclusion training to support guests, with many staff members trained as “Dementia Friends” and equipped to help those with Alzheimer’s. We also have staff trained to assist guests who are blind, partially sighted, or deaf. Additionally, we have a number of Mental Health First Aiders on site to provide support. Our team is always happy to assist wherever possible.
