Running every Wednesday from 9am to 10am, a quiet shopping hour can be enjoyed by guests who see, hear, or feel the world in a different way.
From autism to dementia, this hour has been developed for anyone who prefers a quieter shopping setting. Alongside our stores we will ensure no music is played during the dedicated quiet shopping hour and more subtle lighting will feature throughout the mall and in the stores themselves as well as a blackout of any digital screens and signage.
Sensory packs are available to hire, free of charge, from Guest Services.
The packs have been designed to support people living with a wide range of disabilities who are likely to benefit from sensory resources to make their shopping experience more enjoyable.
The sensory packs contain items such as ear defenders and sunglasses to help with noise and light sensitivity, fiddle toys to keep hands busy and relieve stress and feeling fans to express how they are feeling.
We offer free wheelchair hire for guests. Please visit our Guest Services on arrival.
The Outlet has a Changing Places toilet located in the Lower Mall West End toilets (near Adidas), next to the existing accessible toilets.
The facility includes a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and tracking hoist system is accessible via a video entrance system. Please note these are not baby changing facilities.
We have multiple accessible toilets available to make your experience easier. Our toilet facilities are located on the lower mall near to our Guest Service area and the West End toilets located near to Adidas, and on the Upper Mall next to the VUE cinema.
Within the male lower mall main toilet facilities, we have a unit that provides a discreet and hygienic way to dispose of incontinence waste products.
Designed to offer our guests an easy way to shop, allowing you to make purchases in a choice of retailers and leave your bags to be collected or delivered to your car after your shopping spree.
Hands Free Shopping is completely free of charge and available to our guests seven days a week*. It’s for anyone who wants to enjoy an effortless shopping experience and will come in handy if you’re making larger or heavy purchases such as bedding, pots and pans. Find out more here
Hearing loops are available at Guest Service. Our staff undergo diversity and inclusion training to aid in assisting in the guest journey. Many of the staff have been trained to be “Dementia Friends” and can assist with individuals experiencing the effects of Alzheimer’s. Many staff have also carried out traing to provide assitance to guest who may be blind/partially sighted or deaf. The onsite team also has a number of Mental health First Aiders. Our team will be more than happy to help where we can.
